My first task at my most recent agency job was to create an animated explainer orientation video for Southern Company's contracted hydro workers. The finished product ended up being sixteen minutes, and while people may have a hard time finishing it (I mean, how much of the population is truly interested in the regulations surrounding contract worker safety?), this project has a special place in my heart. I love all sorts of animation, and being able to hop into that for my first project at the agency was incredible. Thanks, Southern Company!
Listed are some highlight clips from sections of the video detailing work I was especially pleased with. A major part of the project was coming to understand that Southern Company didn't exactly want too many frills and effects, so understanding when to add flair and when to keep the information presented more plainly, without bells and whistles, was a fun challenge.
